Advanced Tip: DIY beauty face masks

Many beauty products we buy at the store are full of chemicals and packed in plastic. In this DIY we will show you step by step how to make your spa day a bit greener with these self-made face masks using natural products that you already have at home. It’s time for a relaxing at home spa day!
Since every skin is different, we recommend to first use the mask on a part of your hand to see how your skin reacts.
The ingredients in this first mask dry out your pimples and the scrub the face because of the baking soda. The lemon juice disinfects the skin and acts as a toner. This mask can be used once per week.
Step 1. Put all the ingredients into a bowl
Step 2. Mix it up with a spoon or fork until it’s a paste like on the picture
Step 3. Apply it onto your face with a make-up brush or your hands
Step 4. Let the mask sit for 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water
The second mask will tighten your skin because of the egg white and the milk leaves the skin feeling moisturized. This mask can be used 2 times a week.
Step 1. Break the egg and make sure you only use the egg white
Step 2. Put in 2 tablespoons of milk in the same bowl as the egg white
Step 3. Mix this up with a spoon or fork
Step 4. Apply the mixture onto your face with a make-up brush or your hands
Step 4. Let the mask sit for 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water
For the last mask you need blueberries and some honey. Since blueberries have a lot of antioxidants and vitamins it will give your skin a nice glow and the honey can help dark spots and acne scarring. This mask can be used once per week.
Step 1. Mash the blueberries with a fork until it looks like the picture below
Step 2. Add one teaspoon of honey to the blueberries and mix this together
Step 3. Apply it onto your face with a make-up brush or your hands
Step 4. Leave the mask on for 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water
These masks make my skin feel refreshed and nurtured while still being environmentally friendly!
