Welcome to APProved, the show created for students by students. Inspired by the daily struggles of internationals in the Netherlands, we embarked on a mission to find apps that would benefit students’ lives and are worth their time. Each episode we will review and compare apps that could be useful for students by saving them time and/or money. They will be judged on multiple points to show the advantages and disadvantages they have based on experience, efficiency and price.

Episode 1
The first Episode is about language learning apps and which would be (most) useful for students to learn the Dutch language. Many international students that come to study in Leeuwarden don’t know how to speak Dutch because they never learned, these apps can help students get a grasp on the basic of the language and help them with daily tasks. Now how do you say the letter G again?
Episode 2
Episode 2 is talks about food, it seems to get more and more expensive by the day and finding cheaper options isn’t easy. That’s why we will be reviewing some apps/ways to get food for a discounted price but with great quality. Hmmm, maybe you can even save enough to treat yourself with something extra the next time you go shopping…
Episode 3
Discounts, who doesn’t love them? Episode 3 will show you how to get amazing experiences and products without spending too much money. From sneakers to city trips to dining experiences, you can get it all with a discount. Now how to choose what to do first?
Episode 4
Students have traveled from all around the world to come study here in Leeuwarden, but that doesn’t mean public transport around the country is easy to figure out. In Episode 4 we will show you how to find the right information to get around Leeuwarden and the Netherlands by bus, train and other means. Where are you going next?
Episode 5
Staying productive isn’t always easy, in Episode 5 we will tell you about some fun apps that can help you stay on top of your game and help you finish your tasks and homework on time. These apps help you give a better overview of what you still need to do and keep you on track. Say, you watching this episode isn’t a way to procrastinate your homework right?
Episode 6
The last Episode is about shopping, while people often buy new stuff, second hand can be just as great quality. A lot of clothes and household items go to waste every year, why not give them a new life for a reasonable price? And not only can you buy new old stuff, you can sell your own too to make a bit of money on the side. Who doesn’t love that?
