FACES

The main issues that FACES explores are homesickness, friends, self-image, stress, relationships, and procrastination. All of us sometimes find ourselves in difficult situations that can rob us of our vision and friends are especially important in these times sometimes all we need is to know that we are not alone and that many of us go through the same issues in different ways. It is important for us to know that it’s okay to feel a certain way and not let these thoughts define who we are to avoid a downward spiral that may lead to more serious issues such as depression.

“Maybe Later” is an episode that explores the theme of procrastination and the human tendency to put things off for the future. The poem is written in the voice of a student who reflects on their own struggles with procrastination and the tendency to wait until the last moment to complete tasks. The poem uses the imagery of time as a “thief” and “scammer” to illustrate the idea that time is fleeting, and that procrastination can be detrimental to achieving goals. The poem also touches on the theme of distractions and the way they can pull us away from our responsibilities. Using a metaphor and personal reflection, the episode expresses the idea that we often make promises to ourselves that we cannot keep and that we should act today instead of waiting for tomorrow.
